Just last night, I have no plans of watching any movie until a group of people introduce this certain movie to me.. "The Ultimate Gift" starring Drew Fuller as Jason Stevens, James Gardner as Red Stevens, Ali Hillis as Alexia, and Abigail Breslin as Emily.
The story revolved around the happy-go-lucky, rich kid named Jason. When his rich grandfather Howard "Red" Stevens died, he thought he could inherit a piece of the old man's multi-billion business.. but it came with some conditions. In order to get his share of the inheritance, he must complete 12 separate challenges within 12 months, at the end of each challenge awaits a gift.. and at the end of the 12 challenges, lies the Ultimate Gift that was promised to him through his grandfather's will.
The 12 Ultimate Gifts

- He was sent to Texas for his first challenge. He worked in a ranch. At first, he was not used to the life in the ranch.. but as days passed by, he finally embraced it.

Days after, he finally received his first pay check worth 1500 dollars. He thought that was it.. Mr. Hamilton asked him how he's gonna make use of the money.. but when he discovered Emily's condition and Alixia hasn't paid her daughter's hospital bills that's worth 1600 dollars, he gave the money to the inspector who's been spying him and asked him to pay the bills. But the inspector said, he is a hundred dollar short... so in order for him to come up with the total of 1600, he began to find ways just to have the 100 dollars.

- While strolling in the park, he met Emily and Alixia. He asked them if they can be his friend.. and if they are willing to go with him to the firm just to confirm the FRIENDSHIP. But after that, he left them.. So Emily and Alixia was disappointed and they thought that Jason is just one self-centered guy and not anyone they want to have as a friend. But later on, Jason discovered by accident that Emily is suffering from leukemia, and sees her as a chance to bond with someone and later on develops a good relationship with them.

- In the video of his grandfather he asked him, "Do you truly know how to learn?" Then he was sent to Ecuador at the Steven's Library. He discovers that the books in the library are so old that the people in that village are waiting for new books which will be delivered by him, supposedly. So he fixed the books, brought new books and finally learned about the truth behind his father's death. He went to the place where his father died even though he was warned that no one gets out of that place alive. They were held as hostages of the rebels residing there and was set to be killed the day after Christmas. But during Christmas, the rebels were drunk after celebrating the holiday and that became the opportunity for him to run away from those rebels and finally returned to America.

- after fulfilling all the 12 challenges, he was given a hundred million dollar cheque which he decided to use for building "Emily's Home"... he never thought that it was just the partial amount of his inheritance. Later on, Mr. Hamilton finally gave him the ultimate gift that was placed in a box.. a will that states giving him $2 000 000 000 rewarding Jason not only for completing his tasks but exceeding his grandfather's expectations and using everything he gained to give to the unfortunate ones. That night, he was sitting on a bench in the park and Alixia joins him.. He thanks her for the help they have given him. They then kissed and a butterfly, representing Emily, is shown flying around them.
